Over 75,000 votes were cast in the online "Beat Hunger" contest. The winner, who will receive 600 dozen eggs from the Egg Farmers of Ontario is Sarnia's Inn of the Good Shepherd. The Egg Farmers of Ontario and the Association of Food Banks teamed up for the contest during World Egg Month in October. The second place prize, 400 dozen eggs was awarded to Salvation Army Community and Family Services in Owen Sound and third place went to a centre in Cornwall which will receive 250 dozen eggs.
