Horse And Buggy Operator Airlifted To Hospital

A 69-year-old St. Clair Township man was seriously injured in a horse and buggy incident Saturday afternoon.

Lambton OPP Constable Travis Parsons says they responded just before 4pm to Mill St. in the Wilkesport area.

Parsons says their initial investigation indicated the operator was tossed from the buggy when the horse was startled by two barking dogs.

He was airlifted to hospital in critical condition.

No name has been released.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
