44th Annual Show And Sale

The 44th annual Big Brothers Big Sisters Show and Sale is on this weekend.

Spokesperson Jackie VandenBroek says this year the popular event is being held at Northern High School on Michigan Rd. in Sarnia.

"Unfortunately, we didn't have a lot of choice with moving," she says. "We were at Bayside Centre last year and with the purchase of the mall, that just indicated we were going to have to look elsewhere."

The Show and Sale is on Saturday from 9am until 5pm and Sunday from 11am to 4pm. There will be about 120 vendors, a cafe and bake table. Items for sale include home decor, paintings, pottery, stained glass, sewing, knitting and fine works of art.

Admission is $5 will all proceeds going to Big Brothers and Big Sisters programs locally.

There are about 100 boys and girls waiting for adult mentors.
