National Women's Hockey Team Coming To Sarnia

World class women's hockey is making its way to Sarnia next month (DEC).

Team Canada will square off against Team USA December 19 at Progressive Auto Sales Arena.

Tourism Sarnia-Lambton Marketing Co-ordinator Vicky Praill says being a border town helps Sarnia secure such high calibre events.

"Team Canada will be here for about a week training, and then will play the USA in Plymouth December 17. Us being a border city was definitely one of the main reasons for selecting Sarnia, so we're definitely excited about that."

Praill says events like this are a great boost for the local economy, and generally bring in around $150 per guest.

Tickets are $20 and will go on sale November 15.
