United Way Campaign Reaches 75% Mark

The Sarnia-Lambton United Way has hit the 75% mark of this year's annual fundraiser.

Executive Director Dave Brown says they still need to raise $500,000 of their $2-million goal.

"It's a lot of money but we still have five or six weeks to go so we're very hopeful," says Brown. "There's a number of campaigns that are still just kicking off, Lambton College, Bluewater Health and a few others."

Last year, donations surpassed the $1.95-million goal, hitting the $2-million mark for the first time.

The United Way funds 20 agencies providing 37 programs and services.
