Teen Charged After Crashing Into Hydro Pole

An 18-year-old male is charged with impaired driving after a vehicle slammed into a hydro pole Saturday.

Sarnia police say a vehicle slammed into a hydro pole just after midnight in the Cobden St. and Russel St. area.

The teen driver was arrested and taken to Sarnia Police Headquarters where a breath test determined he was twice the legal limit.

Police say he's now been charged with impaired driving as well as driving without a license.

He's scheduled to appear in Sarnia court December 20 to answer to the charges.
