Vehicle Stolen From Fire Hall Hits Parked Car

Sarnia police arrested one teen and are looking for another after a vehicle was stolen from a Sarnia fire hall overnight Friday and later struck a parked car.

Police say the crash occurred in the 400-block of Lakeshore Rd.

The driver and passenger fled on foot and were later identified based on descriptions given by a witness.

A 19-year-old was arrested in a local motel room early Monday morning and property taken from the stolen vehicle was recovered.

He also faces breach of recognizance and probation charges.

An arrest warrant was being sought for an 18-year-old male for theft of a motor vehicle.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
