Forest Schools Under Review

More school amalgamations are on the drawing board in Lambton County. This time the Forest area is under review.

The Lambton Kent District School Board will hold a public meeting on Wednesday to discuss the Pupil Accommodation Review on the possible consolidation of Aberarder Central, Bosanquet Central, Kinnwood Central and North Lambton Secondary into a kindergarten to Grade 12 school, on the Kinnwood Central site.

Superintendent of Education Gary Girardi says consolidation into a kindergarten to grade 12 school would see an enrollment of 1,100 students.

"There's been questions in regard to what that might mean for busing and people as always are concerned about the potential for schools closures, so those have been the kinds of questions and discussion points that we've had to this point," says Girardi.

Wednesday's meeting will be held at Bosanquet Central School on Northville Rd. in Thedford from 6pm to 8pm.
