Another Rally Planned For Striking Blue Water Bridge Employees

Striking Blue Water Bridge employees have another rally planned this weekend.

The 47 members of PSAC Local 501 are encouraging union colleagues to rally in a show of solidarity Sunday afternoon.

The workers, without a contract for two years, walked off the job Monday.

They're asking supporters to gather at the Holiday Inn in Point Edward at 1:30pm to be bussed to the bridge for a rally to begin at 2pm.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
