Single Vehicle Collision Claims A Life Near Strathroy

One person is dead following a single-vehicle crash near Strathroy Sunday morning.

Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police say around 7:45am, a vehicle going southbound on Centre Rd., ended up rolling down a bank, landing on the south side of Ausable River.

The driver was the only one in the vehicle.

OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators were called in and the investigation lasted into the early afternoon.

Centre Rd. from Glasgow St. to Townsend Line was closed for much of Sunday but was reopened shortly before 3:30pm, according to the OPP.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
