Another Successful Teddy Bear Toss

Sarnia Sting forward Anthony Salinitri brought 3,238 stuffed toys raining down on the ice at Progressive Auto Sales Arena Sunday afternoon.

Salinitri got the coveted Teddy Bear Toss goal on the power play at 17:41 of the first period.

In the 19-year history of the Lambton Ford event, almost 54,000 stuffed toys have been collected for distribution by charities to children in need at Christmas.

The Sting also won the game, 4-3 in a shootout, over the Niagara Ice Dogs before of crowd of nearly 4,100. The Sting have secured 27 of a possible 38 points in Teddy Bear Toss games, and 17 of a possible 20 points in the last ten games. 19th Annual Teddy Bear Toss Dec 4, 2016. Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
