United Way Campaign Enters Final Stretch

There's just three weeks left to go in the annual Sarnia-Lambton United Way campaign.

Fundraising Manager Rebecca Brander says they've raised $1.68-million or 84% of their $2-million goal. She  says to date, 3,782 people have donated to the campaign.

"Each year, hundreds of volunteers, organizations, the front line agencies plus our industrial partners and the media, we all come together and we're raising funds for services that are benefitting families, friends and neighbours, our seniors and youth," says Brander. "This year more than ever we really need off us to really band together to reach our goal."

Last year, donations surpassed the set $1.95-million goal and reached the $2-million mark for the first time.

The United Way of Sarnia-Lambton funds 20 agencies providing 37 programs and services to the community.
