Vehicle Fire Believed To Have Started By Accident

Sarnia Fire and Rescue Services believe a car fire, at a residence in the city's north end Monday morning, started by accident.

At around 7:30am, eight firefighters from two stations responded to Princess Ave., near Indian Rd. and Rosedale Ave.

Fire crews arrived to find a fully engulfed vehicle close enough to the home's attached garage that flames were reaching the structure. Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze and prevented any spread to the home.

A damage estimate had not been determined.

Fire officials are reminding residents to keep combustible materials a safe distance from heat sources.
