Winning Santa Claus Parade Floats Announced (GALLERY)

The winning floats in Saturday's Sarnia Kinsmen Santa Claus Parade were announced Monday.

Suncor Energy Products was named best overall theme float, Nova Chemicals was the best industrial entry and Steeves and Rozema won the best commercial category.

The best charitable entry was Sarnia-Lambton Rebound, most entertaining was JD Lawn Service and the best community service group award went to the Sarnia & District Humane Society.

Rotary Club After Hours Service was recognized with the Special Mention Group award and the 32nd Scouts were judged to be the Best School/Youth Entry. New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
