Man Accused Of Head-Butting Cruiser Window

A 38-year-old man is charged after allegedly head-butting the window of a Sarnia police cruiser.

Police responded to a report of a man lying curled up in the intersection of Devine St. and Brock St. around 6:45pm Tuesday.

The man allegedly became belligerent and a struggle ensued while police were handcuffing him for being intoxicated in a public place.

Police say while being searched near the cruiser, the suspect leaned forward and allegedly struck the rear window of the vehicle with his head breaking the glass.

He was treated for a small cut to his forehead.

The man was being held pending a bail hearing on charges of mischief over 5,000 and resisting a peace officer.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
