UPDATE: All Clear Given After Water Line Break

Police have given the all clear after responding to a broken pipeline on Vidal St. S in Sarnia.

The Sarnia Police Service issued a Code 5 on Tuesday around 7pm, saying the pipeline was causing unknown contents to bubble out of the ground at 1832 Vidal St. S.

Shortly after the alert was issued, a water line break was reported between Praxair and Suncor, and a water sampling was conducted. Sandbags were also used a precaution.

The all clear issued for the Code 5 just after 8pm.

A Code 5 is issued when an incident occurs outside of an industry that potentially could require Chemical Valley Emergency Coordinating Organization response.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
