City Police Officer Ticketed Following Crash

A Sarnia police officer has been issued a ticket after a two-vehicle crash Monday morning.

Around 10:40am, an officer was travelling east on London Rd. with lights and sirens activated.

Police say he moved over to the westbound lane in an attempt to overtake traffic and was struck by a vehicle turning left onto Copeland Rd.

Both vehicles sustained moderate damage but no injuries were reported.

The officer was given a ticket for passing on a roadway not clear for overtaking traffic.
