First Builders Club In Sarnia-Lambton

P.E. McGibbon Public School has partnered with the Kiwanis Club of Sarnia-Lambton Golden K in establishing a Builders Club.

Principal Ben Hazzard says it's an international, student-led organization for Grades 6 to 8 students that helps build leaders through service.

"Right now the Builders Club is hosting luncheons for seniors at our library," says Hazzard. "It's been a great opportunity for cross-generational learning. Certainly our students learn a lot and the seniors from various different homes enjoy talking to the young people as well."

There are 22 members of the first Builders Club in Sarnia-Lambton.

The students will develop and carry out service projects for their school and community with the help of staff and members of the Golden K Kiwanis Club.
