Police Looking For Suspect In Unprovoked Attack

Sarnia police are asking for the public's help following an unprovoked assault on a young woman in the area of Tecumseh Park.

Police say around 2am on Sunday, a 19-year-old woman reported being chased and tripped near Harkness St. and Devine St., by a heavy set, white male wearing a black ski mask. She was able to get away and run home after a brief struggle.

The victim described the suspect as being 5'8" tall, over 300 lbs, wearing dark cargo pants, a blue and grey winter jacket, as well as a ski mask with a red tag on the forehead and holes for the eyes and mouth.

The suspect appeared to be older with a deep voice and had a mole on his upper right lip.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
