Three Charged In Commercial Break-In

Three Sarnia men have been charged in connection with a commercial break and enter in Plympton-Wyoming December 15.

Acting on a tip, Lambton OPP responded to a business in the 3700 block of Lakeshore Rd. at 5am and set up containment with the help of the Emergency Response Team and Canine Unit.

Police say a suspicious male sitting in an unlicensed pick-up truck on the property was taken into custody and no one else was located at the time.

Further investigation led to more arrests.

Charged with break and enter and possession of break-in instruments are 28-year-old Jonathan Michael Hughes of Bright's Grove and 27-year-old Lee Ramsey Smith of Sarnia. Jeffrey Brian Sanders, aged 31 of Sarnia, is charged with break and enter.

They were being held pending bail hearings.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
