As we head into the holidays, normal services will not be available.

Christmas and Boxing Day (Sun Dec 25th and Mon Dec 26th 2016)

  • Post Office: - Closed, no mail delivery. Mon Dec 26, Tues Dec 27.
  • Sarnia Transit: - Regular service ends 6:15pm Sat Dec 24th. No buses Sun Dec 25th, Mon Dec 26th.
  • Banks & Trust Companies: - Closed Dec 25, 26, 27.
  • Beer & LCBO stores: - Closed as of 6pm Dec 24th. Closed Dec 25th. Closed Dec 26th.
  • Stores: - Most Closing 5pm Sat Dec 24th. Closed Sun Dec 25th. Some open for Boxing Day sales Mon Dec 26 (Lambton Mall 8am-5pm).
  • Government Offices: - (Provincial-Federal) Closed Mon Dec 26 and Tues Dec 27.
  • Sarnia City Hall : - Closed at noon Fri Dec 23rd & closed Mon Dec 26 & Tues Dec 27.
  • Garbage Collection (Sarnia): - Regular Mon-Fri collection.
New Years 2017 (Sun Jan 1)

  • Sarnia Transit: - Regular Service to 6:15pm Sat Dec 31 then Special New Years Eve buses (Free) 6:15pm to 2:45am. No buses Sun Jan 1.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
