New Record Temperature Set Boxing Day

We had our white Christmas now the only snow on the ground is what's left of snow plow drifts following a wet and mild Boxing Day.

The mercury at Sarnia's Chris Hadfield Airport peaked at 12.7 C (55 F) at around 4pm, unofficially breaking the previous record high for December 26 of 10 C (50 F ) set in 1982. Wind gusts to 60 km/h were also recorded at the airport as an intense Colorado low swept through.

Tuesday we're back to seasonal values with the high steady at minus 1 C (30 F) dropping down to minus 8 C (18 F) overnight.
