Upgrades Planned For Petrolia Cemetery

The Town of Petrolia has set aside $50,000 for development at Hillsdale Cemetery in 2017.

Because of an increase in the number of cremations, a columbarium or building with niches for funeral urns will be built at the cemetery on Petrolia Line.

There are also plans to build a water feature area and gardens to offer a calming, reflective space, including benches that will look over Bear Creek.

Council has set aside funding for the past five years and this is the final year of the plan.
