Stormy Weather Possible For Those Travelling East

Flurries and snow squalls are forecast on Friday for London, Parkhill and Eastern Middlesex County along with Woodstock, Tillsonburg and Oxford County.

Environment Canada says lake effect flurries and local snow squalls are expected to develop Friday morning with 10-15cm of snow possible in the most intense off-lake streamers. Some of these squalls could extend into eastern Lambton County on very gusty northwest winds, but no watches or warnings have been posted locally yet.

A snow squall warning was in place for Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph and southern Wellington Counties, as well as Huron, Bruce. Grey, Perth and Dufferin Counties. 5-10cm of snow is possible in those areas in blowing and drifting snow on very gusty northwest winds.

The snow squalls are forecast to last through this evening in some areas, suddenly reducing visibility to poor to nil within just a few kilometres.
