City Fills Vacant Management Positions

The City of Sarnia has filled four vacant management positions at city hall.

Sarnia native Jim Crawford has been appointed human resources manager on a 12-month renewable contract.

Crawford recently retired as Senior HR manager at Ontario Power Generation. He has a Masters of Industrial Relations degree, and holds a CHRL designation from the Human Resources Professionals Association of Ontario.

Trevor Sanderson has been named manager of Progressive Auto Sales Arena and Arenas. He joins the city's parks and recreation team after working as operations manager for the Sarnia Sports and Entertainment Centre, and stops at the Western Fair Arena, Zorra Township, and Eurest Services.

Acting City Clerk Dianne Gould-Brown is now the permanent city clerk.

James Jenkins has been appointed to the role of deputy clerk. He has a Masters degree in history and has a lot of experience in the public sector including working as acting director of operations with Walpole Island First Nation.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
