Following a second application process, 86 people have expressed an interest in sitting on 13 different City of Sarnia boards and committees.

City Clerk Dianne Gould-Brown says they tweaked their on-line application process after receiving insufficient response the first time around

"I think our new accessible form made it easier for people to submit their applications," she says.

Staff will submit a report to council in closed session and then the new board and committee members will be announced in open session at council's next meeting January 16.

Among the boards and committees seeking applicants was the Sarnia Police Services Board, the Planning Advisory Committee and the Accessibility and Advisory Committee.
