Ribfest To Return To Centennial Park

The Sarnia Kinsmen Club's Ribfest is returning to Centennial Park this summer.

Co-chair Jack Struck says they took a year off to reorganize after staging the event at Hiawatha Horse Park in 2014 and 2015.

"We talked among ourselves and decided to put the event back together," says Struck. "The community counts on groups such as the Kinsmen Club to raise funds to put back into the community. We're a non-profit organization and all proceeds stay local."

Stuck says there will be six ribbers, and as many as ten local bands at the three day event beginning July 7.

Funds raised will go toward the annual Santa Claus and Canada Day parades, as well as the local Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Donations will be accepted until 6pm after which there will be a $5 charge for those 16 and over.

The Kinsmen Club is looking for sponsors, volunteers and vendors. Further information can be found at www.sarniakinsmen.ca.
