Woman Pulled From Underneath Vehicle

A 33-year-old woman struck by a vehicle Tuesday morning has been transferred to a London hospital.

Sarnia police say a woman who was walking south on along Indian Rd. was hit by a vehicle exiting a driveway, just north of Confederation Line.

Police say the vehicle was turning right to travel south on Indian Rd., when it hit the woman, pinning her underneath.

She was freed by Sarnia Fire and Rescue and Lambton EMS.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. No charges have been laid but the investigation is continuing.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
