Snow Squalls Expected In Lambton County

A snow squall watch has been posted for north and east Lambton County, in anticipation of snow squalls developing Wednesday.

Environment Canada says snow squalls and blowing snow will begin Wednesday morning and are expected to diminish by Thursday morning.

Under the snow squall bands, visibilities may be significantly reduced to near zero and due to the heavy snow combined with blowing snow, snow will quickly accumulate.

Snowfall amounts of 15 cm per 12 hours are possible.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
