Sarnia-Lambton Celebrates Heritage Week

The City of Sarnia and the Heritage Committee are hosting a display of historic photos in the lobby of city hall as part of Heritage Week.

From February 23 until February 26, the display will be moved to the Lambton Mall, along with a collection of artifacts.

Committee members will be also be on hand to answer any questions.

The County Archives and neighbouring communities will also have historical photos on display.

The city will, through social media, also share a different heritage building or site in Sarnia every day.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
