Kent Bridge Couple Wins Dream Home

John and Judy Pickard of Kent Bridge are this year's Bluewater Health Foundation Dream Home Lottery winners.

The couple had one ticket in the draw for the Rodriguez Dr. home.

The winning ticket, #7793, was announced live on 99.9 the FOX Friday morning and Judy says she almost forgot to buy it.

"This is wonderful news, I see it online and hear it on the radio and I kept saying I got to get a ticket and I kept forgetting, I thought ok, I got to put a memo on my phone," says Pickard.

She says they'll have to think about whether or not to keep the home or take the $300,000.

Money raised from this year's lottery will go towards the recently purchased CT Scanner at Bluewater Health.

In its 22 years, the Dream Home Lottery has raised over $6-million for the hospital.

Bluewater Health President and CEO Mike Lapaine says the annual fundraiser is a full community effort. "This is the culmination of the single biggest campaign that the foundation does every year," says Lapaine. "We really support the support of the community, and the community support allows us to continue to invest in high tech equipment, which the hospital desperately needs."

There were 63 prizes drawn Friday morning, including a winning $1,000 ticket held by employees of Blackburn Radio News.

All the winning tickets are listed here.
