March Arrival Mix Of Lamb And Lion

March will come in with a dramatic swing from lamb to lion in Sarnia-Lambton.

Environment Canada meteorologist Geoff Coulson says a large moisture-laden Colorado low will bring record high temperatures for Wednesday but the warmth will be shortlived.

"It's going to be drawing up a lot of warm air with it and so that is going to give us temperatures into the mid-teens, potentially a record-breaking high of 16 C on Wednesday," says Coulson. "But as it moves by we get onto the cold side of the system, winds snap around out of the northwest and we're looking at a pretty dramatic drop in temperature Wednesday evening into the early morning hours of Thursday."

Wednesday's forecast high of 16 C (61 F) in Sarnia would break the previous record of 14.2 C set in 1997.

For Thursday however, the temperature will plummet to a below seasonal high of -2 C. (28 F)
