Visitor Restrictions At CEE Hospital

Bluewater Health has implemented visitor restrictions at the CEE hospital in Petrolia.

There are infection control measures in place at the 12-bed complex and continuing care unit due to confirmed cases of influenza. As of Monday, only two designated visitors per patient will be allowed to prevent the spread of the disease.

In addition to the confirmed cases, Bluewater Health says there are other patients experiencing similar symptoms including difficulty breathing, chest congestion, fever, cough and difficulty swallowing.

Visitors are being urged to use hand sanitizer and avoid visiting if they're feeling unwell.

Residents are being told to continue to come to the hospital for scheduled appointments.
