Bridge Tolls To Remain The Same After Latest Review

Canadian toll rates at the Blue Water Bridge will remain the same following the latest review.

The Federal Bridge Corporation says the rates are reviewed semi-annually based on traffic levels, economic forecasts and funding needs for long-term capital requirements. The toll rate value in U.S. dollars is based on the average daily currency exchange rate for the previous six month period.

Effective April 1, 2017, passenger vehicle tolls will remain at $4 Canadian and $3 American per trip. Extra axles will remain at $4 Canadian and $3 American per trip.

The commercial toll per axle will still be $4.25 Canadian and $3.25 American per trip.

The next review is scheduled for October 1, 2017.
