A Point Edward man is facing charges in connection with an attempted theft in the village early Thursday morning.
Lambton OPP were called to the Point Edward Car Wash on Lite St. by a concerned resident who observed two suspicious people in the area.
Upon arrival, police noticed the coin dispenser had been damaged in an effort to steal coins. Nothing was reported stolen.
Police have charged Jerry Andrew Mara, 50, with break and enter, possession of break in tools and public mischief.
OPP are still trying to identify the second suspect.
