Tickets have sold out for the May 13 President's Gala celebrating Lambton College's golden anniversary.
As part of his Canada: Coast to Coast Tour, comedian and political satirist Rick Mercer will be the keynote speaker.
College President Judith Morris says former Premier Bill Davis, who laid the cornerstone at the London Rd. building in 1970, will also be in attendance.
"He really was the one who started the college. It was his dream and his vision that started the college system. He's a great friend of Andy Brandt and so Premier Bill Davis was in attendance at our 40th, and so when Andy Brandt called him and said we're having this gala -- he didn't even ask him to come. He just said 'I'll be there."
The gala is one of several events planned for the College's 50th anniversary year.
