Residents Urged To 'Lock It Or Lose It'

Lambton County residents are being urged to "lock it or lose it."

Constable Travis Parsons says leaving your vehicle unlocked with valuables inside is enticing for thieves.

He says these types of thefts are more common during the nice weather.

"Given the onset of the warmer weather, it's definitely a time to remind the public that 'lock it or lose it' is something they should be keeping in mind," says Parsons. "Lambton OPP has received several reports of thefts from vehicles in the county over the past several weeks."

Parsons says residents should lock their car doors, roll up the windows, keep valuables out of plain sight, and pocket their keys.

Victims of theft should call OPP or Crime Stoppers.
