Oil Museum Of Canada Recognized

The Oil Museum of Canada has been recognized for its work in facilitating the preservation and understanding of artifacts relating to the early days of the Canadian Petroleum industry.

The museum, owned and operated by the County of Lambton, was presented with the Petroleum History Society's Preservation Award at its annual meeting and awards ceremony Wednesday evening in Calgary.

The award comes as the County and Fairbank Oil Fields continue their pursuit of UNESCO World Heritage site designation for the Oil Springs Industrial Landscape site.
