Gusty Winds Expected

Gusty winds are expected Thursday evening into Friday and Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Sarnia-Lambton.

The national weather agency says an intense storm system tracking near the lower Great Lakes will generate increasingly strong winds Thursday night.

Northerly winds gusting between 50-80 km/h are expected to develop Thursday evening off of Lake Huron.

Winds combined with rain changing to some accumulating snow may result in a few sporadic power outages as well as create messy road conditions.

The gusty winds are forecast to slowly subside on Friday.
