Pt. Edward Home Intruder Arrested

Lambton OPP have arrested a 57-year-old Point Edward man after a homeowner discovered an intruder inside his house.

Police were called to the 300-block of Arthur St., just before midnight on Monday.

The accused was known to the complainant and was located by police in the area a short time later. No injuries were reported.

The Point Edward man is charged with break and enter, failing to comply with recognizance and failing to comply with a probation order.

He had a bail hearing Tuesday.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
