Public Health Looking For Dog That Bit Woman

Lambton Public Health is searching for a dog that bit a woman on the hand around 6:30pm Sunday evening on Prestwick Cres.

The woman was walking her two Great Danes when another dog, walked by a man and a child riding a bike, approached.

The dogs became involved in a scuffle and when the woman tried to separate them, she was bitten on the right hand.

The dog that bit the woman is described as a medium-sized terrier mix with a black face.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Lambton Public Health.

If the dog isn't located, the victim will require post exposure rabies shots.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
