MAC Night At Northern

The Multi Cultural Awareness Committee at Northern Collegiate hosts its annual MAC night Thursday evening.

A variety of food from the Philippines, India, China, Korea, Malaysia and other countries will be for sale in the school's gym.

Grade 12 student Morgan Langille says the event celebrates diversity in Sarnia and around the world.

"We have a bunch of different countries represented," says Langille. "This year we have Syrian food."

Latin dance lessons will be offered and Chinese, East Indian, Filipino and Irish dance groups will perform.

Langille says there will be a childrens craft table this year and the schools bands are planning to perform.

Admission is free. Most food items will cost between $3 and $5.

The event at the Michigan Ave. high school starts at 5pm with entertainment at 7pm.
