"Go Green" Award Winners Announced

The City of Sarnia is celebrating Earth Day by announcing the winners of the "Go Green" Awards honouring environmental stewardship.

Goodwill Industries won in the medium to large business category while MJ Waste Solutions won in the small business category.

The Community Stewardship award went to One Tomato Environmental Education Inc.

Sarnia's Greenest Classroom was Ms. Nicolai's Grade Six class at St. Matthew's School.

Team Northern won the Youth Group award and Ed Brost was named the Eco-Warrior.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
