Robbery Suspect Arrested In Alberta

A former Sarnia man is facing numerous charges in connection with robberies in Alberta and southwestern Ontario, including two recent pharmacy holdups locally.

The arrest follows an interprovincial investigation between Ontario Provincial Police, RCMP, and the Sarnia, Windsor, and Calgary police services.

Dustin Ross Robinson, currently residing in Calgary, is in custody in Alberta facing charges in that jurisdiction.

The OPP have issued an arrest warrant for the 34-year-old that will be executed at a later date to bring him to a Windsor court.

Robinson faces 12 counts of robbery and 12 counts of disguise with intent for alleged offences across southwestern Ontario including Sarnia-Lambton.

Vidal Pharmacy in Sarnia and the Paul Marley Pharmacy in Wyoming were both robbed Tuesday, March 7.

There were no injuries in either incident.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
