Three Charged in Drug Bust

Two men and a woman have been arrested following a drug trafficking investigation by the Sarnia Police Vice Unit.

Constable John Sottosanti says the trio was arrested Friday afternoon.

He says officers then executed a search warrant around 11:30pm at a hotel in the 400-block of Christina St. where officers seized 22 fentanyl patches of various strengths, and about 4 g of cocaine, with a combined street value of around $6,000.

Around $6,000 in Canadian currency was also seized.

"Jamelle Hinds, 33 years of age from the city of Brampton, is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a controlled substance," says Sottosanti. "Cameron Joseph Kemmis, 24 years of age of Sarnia, is charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a controlled substance."

Charges against a 26-year-old Lambton County woman were dismissed.

All three accused were held for a bail hearing.
