Local Hospital Volunteers Recognized

Bluewater Health is recognizing its volunteers, and all of their contributions to the organization. They have 700 volunteers in 46 departments. Volunteer Resources Manager Lisa Hendra-Pavey says they contribute to the smooth operation of the hospital. "They help at meal time with assisting our patients with their meals," says Hendra-Pavey. "They help in our Hospital Elder Life Program, they work at our information desk, and they act as patient experience partners. They're on our boards and auxiliaries . They're everywhere, and they're awesome."

Bluewater Health will hold its annual Volunteer Appreciation Celebration Wednesday April 26. This week is National Volunteer Week across Canada.
