Surveillance Leads To Recovery Of Stolen Truck

Sarnia police say surveillance paid off in the recovery of a pickup truck reported stolen by Huron OPP.

Members of the COPPS Unit were on patrol in Canatara Park Wednesday, when they came across the stolen vehicle with no one inside.

After several hours of waiting, a man was dropped off at the truck. A man ran from police, and tried to get back inside the vehicle that dropped him off.

Officers were able to stop the vehicle and make an arrest without incident.

Christian Harvey Page, 19, has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, and breach of recognizance. Police say he also had outstanding warrants for charges including break and enter, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, failing to attend court, and breaches of recognizance.

He was held in custody pending a bail hearing Thursday.
