Update: No Change In Salmon Derby Leaderboard

Strong north winds kept the fishermen off Lake Huron on day 2 of the Salmon Derby. 25 fish were entered at the Sarnia weigh station and 4 fish were entered at the Port Franks weigh station for a two day Salmon Derby total of 164 fish.

Saturday was Ladies Day. Brittany Smith of Kettle Point is the Ladies Day winner with a 12.58 lb. Lake Trout.

There were no changes to the Salmon Derby leaders. The unofficial Salmon Derby leaders are ...

- John Januszkiewicz of Wyoming with a 12.38 lb. salmon.

- Maldon Armstrong of Grand Bend in the Trout-Boat category with a 6.30 lb. rainbow trout.

- John Pollard of Sarnia Trout-Shore category with a 9.26 lb. rainbow trout.

- Dave Boon of Corunna in the Lake Trout category with an 18.86 lb. lake trout.

- Clayton Rennie of Sarnia with an 8.94 lb. walleye.

The Daily Big Fish winner is Brittany Smith of Kettle Point with a 12.58 lb. Lake Trout.

The Daily Draw Prize winners are - Ryan Henry at the Port Franks weigh station, and - Matt Dewey of Sarnia at the Sarnia weigh station.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
