UPDATE: Rainy Start To Week

After some light rain overnight, Environment Canada ended its special weather statement for Sarnia-Lambton but significant rain is still forecast for surrounding areas.

A statement remained in effect Sunday for neighbouring Huron-Perth and a rainfall warning for Grey-Bruce.

An intensifying low pressure system from Texas is forecast to soak southern portions Sunday into Monday with some embedded heavier thunderstorms in many areas.

Total general rainfall amounts of 40 to 60 mm are expected through Monday in areas where warnings are posted.

Showers and thunderstorms are still likely for Sarnia-Lambton Sunday into Monday.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
