Stunt Driver Nabbed On Hwy. 40

An Ajax man lost his vehicle for seven days for allegedly stunt driving in St. Clair Township over the weekend.

Around 8:30 Friday night, Lambton OPP were conducting RADAR enforcement in the area of Hwy. 40 just north of Petrolia Line. Police say a vehicle was spotted travelling north at 145 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone.

A 28-year-old driver was charged with racing a motor vehicle and his licence suspended for seven days.

He's scheduled to appear in Sarnia court June 9.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
